sweet clover

Can someone tell me if it is ok to feed horse bales that contain 20% sweet yellow clover....along with 20% alfalfa and the rest grass.

The only issue is possible spoilage = dicoumarol poisoning. Otherwise it is palatable and well tolerated by equines.

Doesn't it contain something that thins the blood?
I think I was told it was okay as long as the horses didn't get any major cuts or ate too much.
Not sure how much is too much though.
I sometimes let mine eat it on trail but they don't regurly get it.
